What is said about Fontainebleau in France is said about the Arenenberg on Lake Constance: a castle museum full of priceless international art, a park with a breathtaking view, an enchanting complex. All created and shaped by cross-border culture. But also an unknown piece of Swiss and German history: Queen Hortense, her son Emperor Napoleon III and his wife Eugénie lived in Thurgovia and Constance. Here they created a meeting place of world renown. The castle, which is still furnished in its original form, welcomes museum guests like friends of Queen Hortense. Annual special exhibitions make a visit to the Napoleonmuseum an experience time and again.
